A Little About Me

Compassionate Mental Health Therapist with more than ten years of experience providing evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups from diverse cultural backgrounds. Experienced in trauma-informed care, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness-based interventions, crisis intervention, grief counseling, and parenting support.

Committed to providing culturally responsive, client-centered care that integrates psychological science with respect for clients’ unique cultural, spiritual, and personal identities. Adept at working with multicultural populations experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and stress-related disorders.

Who I Work With

As a licensed psychotherapist specializing in relational and trauma-informed counseling, my passion is helping individuals, couples, and families cultivate deeply connected, healthy relationships. Whether you are navigating personal grief, recurring relationship patterns, or transition points, we work together to regulate your nervous system, heal underlying wounds, and move from surviving to thriving.

Grief & Loss Counseling

Painful loss is an inevitable part of life, yet our culture rarely gives us the space, time, or language to grieve. Grief can leave you feeling isolated, anxious, or emotionally numb. In a safe, nurturing environment, I offer compassionate support to help you honor your loss, process complex emotions at your own pace, and find a path forward toward meaningful healing.

Pre-Marital Counseling & Marriage Preparation

A wedding is a single day; marriage is a lifelong journey. Pre-marital counseling goes beyond surface-level advice to help couples build a resilient foundation before saying "I do." Together, we explore core values, communication patterns, family-of-origin dynamics, and emotional intimacy, equipping you with practical tools to navigate life’s joys and challenges as a team.

Couples & Relational Therapy

Do you feel a growing emotional distance or a breakdown in connection with your partner? When stress or past trauma impacts a relationship, couples often fall into reactive cycles of conflict or withdrawal. I help you identify unmet needs, soften protective barriers, and restore authentic warmth, trust, and emotional safety between you.

Conflict Resolution & Relational Growth

In every relationship, conflicts naturally arise. Some are solvable problems, while others stem from deeper, perpetual differences in personality or background. Conflict doesn't have to signal the end of closeness; managed with attunement, it can actually become a gateway to deeper understanding. Together, we unpack reactive patterns so you can resolve friction and build a thriving, harmonious partnership.

My Approach

Therapy is a collaborative journey back to your true self. I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating grief, trauma, relationship patterns, and life transitions. Rather than focusing solely on symptom relief or surface-level positive thinking, my practice is rooted in trauma-informed, somatic, and body-centered care.

We gently face life’s toughest challenges together—not by forcing change, but by listening deeply to your internal world. By working with both mind and nervous system, we unburden past painful memories and cultivate lasting qualities of compassion, self-attunement, emotional resilience, and authentic joy.

Why Choose Global Wellspring?

1. Presence Without Agenda

I honor your internal world, trusting that healing unfolds best when I follow rather than force. I hold space for work that is unhurried, attuned, and deeply responsive—a process where slow is fast.

2. Root-Cause Healing

True healing is more than symptom relief; it is the restoration of a trustworthy relationship between your spirit and the many parts of your nervous system. Because of this, I am deeply committed to my own healing, knowing it is essential to effectively hold space for yours.

3. Unreasonable Hospitality

I hold myself to the highest professional standards while keeping the space unexpectedly human. I believe profound transformation happens best when you feel both expertly held and genuinely seen.

4. Paradoxical Faith

Deep, meaningful, and loving experiences are your birthright. While I personally follow a Spirit of love, inclusion, and healing, I never impose belief. I do not proselytize; I listen.

5. Dignity in Context

Healing requires attention not only to internal systems, but to the external contexts that shape them. I am committed to humility, lifelong learning, and a practice that actively resists harm—especially the harm that has historically been justified by spirituality, systems, or silence.

Take the First Step Toward Healing

Beginning therapy is a courageous step, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. Whether you prefer in-person sessions at my Ashburn office or the convenience of online telehealth, I invite you to reach out.

I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can discuss your needs, answer any questions, and see if my approach is the right fit for your journey.
